Piazza Liberta in other times, was a very beautiful location. A garden surrounded with palaces and beautiful fountains in front of the triumphal arch of Florence.

The square is the northern most point of the city center. On the piazza there is the Cinema Principe. Another attraction is the artificial ice track open during the winter season at the parterre.

It is just a 5 minutes walk from San Marco. There are even buses running every 5-10 minutes that reach the destination.
