Peretola is the airport of Florence which is also called Amerigo Vespucci, located northwest of the city just 4 km from away from the city center. Taxis are available 24/7, though if you want to leave in the early hours it is safe to book the taxi the night before, not after 8:00 pm. The Taxiline is 055 4242 or 0554390. If you arleady have a car there are two ways to reach the airport. One choice is to take Via di Novoli or the easier one is to go from Viale Guidoni. Just to be on the safer side  in case of traffic, the journey from the center will take you 20 to 25 minutes.

For those landing at the Vespucci, one has all the necessary transport options into Florence. Apart from the taxis there are SITA & ATAF buses as well as car rental points that can take you all the way to the central station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella.

The bus timings  from the airport leave every 30 minutes from 6:00 am to 8:30 pm, then after every hour until 11:30 pm. Departures from city center are every 30 min from 5.30 am to 8.00 pm and after every hour till 11:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased on board. A one-way ticket costs 4,50 Euros.
