Museo Bus

As the name might suggest it has something to do with a bus and something with the musums! :) Let me explain you briefly.

The Museobus project will begin from 8th December until the 8th of January 2012 and is supported by the Region of Tuscany. The aim of this project is to create an integrated organizational network among different museums connected through a MuseumBus. With graphic decoration on the subject, it will facilitate the visit of the school groups and citizens in the all the museums museum. The museums that involved in the initiative are: the Museum of Natural History of the University of Florence, Galileo Museum, Museum of Prehistoric Florence ‘P. Pretty’; Marino Marini Museum, Museum of the Casa Buonarroti and the Science & Technology Foundation – Planetarium.

Initiatives of this kind can increase as much as 50 percent of the visitors. In all 15 routes, each will have exclusive guided tours in two different museums. Among the topics of the courses, ‘ Minerals and Crystals’, ‘The human body’, ‘The archaeological excavation between prehistory and the classical world’, ‘The representation of femininity’, ‘The man and the color’, ‘Galileo, a house, a museum ‘ and ‘ Stories of horses and riders’ are the topics that will be of great interest. There will be a great amount of knowlegde shared of science, nature and anthropology.
