In this case one should look for the exchange booths known as “Cambio” booths. Here in most cases it is your bank that puts a slight charge. Check that up before travelling to be on the safer side. My personel experience travelling I always looked for the ones that said no tax. Though another method is to go to the ATMs. FOr me removing cashfrom ATMs had a 5 euro charge on whatever the amount was. Do not in any situation of need change travellers checks at a shop or a hotel. The rates are very poor..for you of course
